Baldwin Photography: Houston Area

Evelyn first fell in love with photography as a child. She would often borrow her parents’ 35 mm camera and spend hours trying to capture “the moment” in one single frame. This love resurfaced and grew into a passion when her first daughter was born. Not unlike most new moms, she would spend a pretty penny on “mall portraits”, but the experience always felt rushed, too posed, and artificial. The final prints looked generic, never really capturing her daughter’s beautiful personality.

Evelyn knew she could do better. Through hours upon hours of studying the technical ins and outs of digital photography, practicing with her inspiring daughter and experimenting with new ideas and techniques, she learned to take portraits that not only looked nice but also captured the joy in her daughter’s eye when she played with her favorite baby doll or the true belly laughs only her husband could elicit. These were the images she knew she would treasure for years to come.

Evelyn wants to capture these moments for you, too. With each photo shoot, Evelyn seeks out the secret smile shared between sisters, the sheer delight of a toddler running alongside her parents, the head-over-heels love shared between newly initiated parents and their newborn. In other words, she aims to capture the real-life moments in portraits that you will cherish for a lifetime.
