I got to meet the cutest two year old boy this weekend! He was such a sweet, fun, and energetic kid! Prior to our session, his mom let me know that he LOVES sports. But, I was not expecting such a coordinated two year old. This kid could hit a moving ball, throw a football and score a 'goal' with a soccer ball. I am majorly impressed! But, aside from all that, he has one of those smiles that is truly contagious. I dare you to look at these and not smile back!

I met up with one of my favorite clients. I've known this cutie since the first few days he was born. And, lucky for me, he was ready to play at our session! We had a good time playing peek-a-boo and just chasing each other all over the park. Sessions like these make me love my job!

We had a very lovely session Saturday morning. These two dolls met me at a beautiful park bright and early. I love the soft morning glow and am always overjoyed when families take me up on a early morning session. These two girls were so sweet the entire time. Aren't they precious?!?

After surviving Houston's first drought, I hate to complain about the rain. In fact, I have to admit that the sky opened up and brought us beautiful rain - it means I can finally wash my own car again, lol. On the other hand, it did rain out my sessions on Saturday - and made it quite muddy for my sessions on Sunday. But, as they say, when life sends you rain, make mud pies :) Or something like that!

My girls are SO excited about Valentine's Day. Everyday since February 1st, we've had to sit down and make a new valentine's for either Granny, a friend at school, Ms. Endicot (the pre-school teacher), Daddy, our next door neighbor, El Paso (our dog!)....pretty much anyone they can think of. And, I have to admit that I just love it. I love that they fully and freely love anyone who is nice to them. They are not guarded with their feelings AT ALL. I could use a little of that - and I'm so grateful they are here to remind me to be more caring, a bit more trusting, way more forgiving and to fill my life with love. I hope everyone has a fantastic Valentine's Day next week!

This cutie has grown so much since I've seen him, only 6 months ago. At that time he was barely walking - and now, well, he was on the go!! I brought along my favorite 'prop' - a bright red rocket ship. My girls loved it at this age and it usually is a big hit for kiddos. This time I made the mistake of having it out right when he got there. He loved that thing and really didn't want to do anything else. He would ride on it for a bit and then get off and push it. So cute - until the end, when he cried because I had to take it away. So sad! (hint to mom & dad: click here to make his Christmas morning extra special!! lol).

Little Ava's mom contacted me about a family session shortly after seeing my booth at the Shopping on the Plaza event. She said that all she really wanted was some great family portraits - with a smiling Ava, who is usually quite reserved around strangers. I immediately thought - we should bake cookies! Smiles are hard to hide when there are cookies involved. And, boy, was I right. After a few minutes of mixing and cracking eggs, Ava let out a huge grin. She was having fun!! Maybe Ava and her parents have started a new holiday tradition?

These two girls came ready to party! I loved their bright holiday outfits and their spunky attitudes. We sang Christmas songs and danced around. I think it is safe to say that we all had fun!

This beautiful family is spreading the holiday cheer - with a holiday tea-party!! When the mom called me with the idea, I loved it!! So fun - and I think they pictures turned out so cute!! Don't you just LOVE the chandelier? We ended the tea-party with a mini-shoot of baby brother. He's six months - and has grown soo much since the last time I saw him as a newborn. I think he's getting more and more adorable as the months go by.

This little cutie just turned one - and, boy, is he moving!! He was so interested in just running around and playing. I don't blame him - once you can run, there is just sooo much to explore! I did get him to slow down just enough to check out my new wagon and other toys. Love his little grin!
