I get asked lots of questions but the one that keeps popping up recently is, "When is the best time to schedule a photo session for my baby?" - and I always recommend the following ages: newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and a year - and here is why:

Newborn: They are only this small once and you're going to want to remember that wrinkly, flaky skin and soft rolls. The newborn stage is full of sleepless nights and some frustration but the images we can capture will allow you look back fondly on how small this little person was and just how cuddly they can be. I always recommend scheduling this session well before the baby is here and then letting me know as soon as the baby arrives. I will be over within the first two weeks to capture his/her first moments. Here is my baby girl, Georgia at only 5 days old.

3 months: And this is when they're personalities start showing through. They can smile and many of the babies can even laugh at this age. I love capture those first coo's and, if we're lucky, we can even get a few belly shots when baby can start to push up for the first time :) Again, here is Georgia at 3 months:

6 months: At this age, many babies are able to sit with out support which can lead to some precious photos of your little one. I love capturing these milestones! Here is Georgia showing off her new skills.

9 months: Around this age, babies start crawling and a few are even pulling up and cruising. This makes it challenging to get a good picture because you spend half the time just chasing them around. Though, I love the challenge and we always end up with the best images of your little one laughing and having a good time. I took this shot of Georgia just last week. Yes, my baby girl is now officially 9 months old. Where, oh where did the time go?

1 year: And this one is obvious. Of course you want to capture this milestone. You and baby has successfully made it a year. Let's celebrate with a cake smash session. See one here
I'm excited to be announcing packages soon and the one I'm most excited about is my "Baby's 1st Year" package. Stay tuned for more details!
